The Youth Service attached to The Blyth School is the largest Youth provider in Northumberland, working in partnership with a range of partner organisations, especially Silx Teen Bar and provides projects, youth clubs and youth related activities for young people aged 8-25 in the Blyth area.
The Blyth School Youth Service employs twenty part time and three full time youth workers. The majority of the youth workers are seconded to organisations likt Silx Teen Bar, Briardale, Isabella Community Centres, Youth Offending Team etc. The Partnership between statutory and voluntary sector provides over two hundred hours a week face to face, activities, youth clubs and project work for the children and young people in the Blyth area.
All projects and activities created are based on the needs of the young people in the area and over 1200 individual named children and young people utilise the provision offered.
