The Blyth School,Community College shares the belief that an understanding of Drama and involvement in creative and performing arts should be central to the lives of our students. Drama at The Blyth School is an entitlement for all students both within the formal curriculum and through extra-curricular and community activities. All students have access to a wide range of Drama experiences both as an individual discipline and as collaborative ventures. Our students become emotionally literate though Drama study and activity.
Our Aims are
· to utilise Drama as a vehicle for raising student aspiration and self-esteem.
· Foster creativity, intellectual capability and confidence through Drama.
We work with our local community and the wider community in pursuance of these aims by collaborating with other schools, community groups, professional artists and arts organisations to forge creative partnerships.
