In the Science Department we aim to teach through experiment and first -hand experience of scientific ideas. We have a dedicated team of specialist Science teachers to deliver a broad and balanced Science Curriculum. We are a supportive and welcoming department with an excellent team of technicians. Our laboratory facilities are outstanding and we are very well-resourced.
We offer courses that suit the different needs of our students, from an interactive Key Stage three programme with an emphasis on learning through enquiry, to a full suite of academic and vocational post-sixteen courses.
At GCSE all students study two Science GCSEs from the OCR Twenty First Century Science Suite, including Applied Science. Vocational courses are being introduced to provide skills- based learning in preparation for the world of work.
