The increasing use of the internet and social networking sites and computer gaming that involves multiple players over the internet all make our lives more interesting. There are also RISKS that come with this new technology. This 2 hour course we offer identifies the possible RISKS and how to better protect yourself and your children in the technological world in which we live.

This is a 'by invite only' course for parents to help them understand how 'reading' works and how they can better involve themselves in reading activities at home to help accelerate progress for their children.

Mrs Clinch runs this course for a group of up to 8 parents each term. It lasts for 8 weeks and children and their parents work together for part of each weekly session.

This course is one whole day per week for 3 consecutive weeks.

STEPS is the BEST course we know for challenging course members to consider how they talk to themselves on a day to day basis and how this self talk can be limiting, negative and unhelpful. It helps to explore why we might be like we are at the moment and how we might think about doing small things to tackle life in a different, more positive way.

We have secured external grant funding to enable us to deliver this course each half term to up to 12 parents.

The course is run by parents for parents!

This is the longest course we currently run. It is for 2 hours a week for 15 weeks and can lead to a NVQ if a course file is kept by parents completing the course. It is popular and we can only take a maximum of 16 parents a year onto this course. It is offered to parents who have children in RECEPTION.
