SENCO - Mrs Clinch

Mrs Clinch is SENCO at Croftway Primary.

We have a team of Teaching Assistants at school as well as an inclusion mentor and a children's counselling service (Place 2 Be). Mrs Clinch has overall responsibility for children that may need additional support at school from time to time.

It is likely that around 20% of all children will require some additional support at some time during their life at school. A much smaller percentage may eventually need a STATEMENT of Special Educational Need.

We work in close partnership with a variety of external specialists who advise us and may also support individual children during the school day.

Place 2 Be

Annie Doherty is our Place 2 Be manager. SHe works at Croftway all day on Monday and Tuesday and also on Wednesday mornings.

There are various services that Place 2 Be provide that our children can benefit from.

Inclusion Mentor

Mrs Littlewood is the Inclusion Mentor in school. She is responsible for monitoring attendance. It is Mrs Littlewood who will ring you up if you fail to notify school to explain why your child is off school.

We work in an encouraging way with children but they don't get themselves to school do they?

It is a primary parental responsibility to make sure their children attend school and get to school on time.
