I have been a member of Blyth community all of my life and attended first, middle and high schools in Blyth.
After completing my A levels I applied for Early Childhood Studies courses and began my studies at the University of Sunderland where I gained a BA (Hons) in Early Childhood and Curriculum Studies. I spent five years working in day care settings of which four years I worked as a Childcare Development worker at Sure Start Blyth. During that time I developed a passion for working with children and felt that the next step in my career was to gain QTS status as I wanted to be more involved in education.
I gained my PGCE in Early Years Education in June 2007 and was employed by Morpeth Road First School in September 2008 as an NQT working as a reception teacher.
I feel very blessed to be part of the school working with the wonderful children, families and colleagues.
